Tell us a bit about yourself
Oh I really dislike talking about myself! I’m 38, married, and living in Durham. I am a mum of two wonderful children, Darcey who is 10 and Henry who is 6. I’m 100% a home bird but also love spending time with my family and friends, nothing too crazy.
Tell us about your role
My role at Headway Wealth is fairly new. I joined the company June 2023 but I feel like I’ve learnt so much already.
At the moment I’m involved in a bit of everything, from new client applications, creating internal and external reports and providing ongoing support for the company’s financial advisers. I hope to learn the ropes properly!
What led you to choose this profession?
In all honesty, I was working in a role that I wasn’t enjoying anymore and I started to feel like I wasn’t giving it 100% so I knew it was time to move on. I had worked in finance-based roles prior to my last job so when this opportunity came up, I thought it was a great chance to learn something new.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I really enjoy the variety of tasks and projects I am exposed to every day and learning everything I haven’t had any understanding of previously. It’s also great to see how the business can grow and I’m excited to be a part of it.
If you weren’t doing this job, what would you be doing?
I’m not sure what I would be doing, but it would have to be in a hot climate. I hate the cold so I’m sure I wasn’t supposed to be living in the UK!
Best advice anyone has given you?
One I always remember is: “You can’t pour from an empty cup”, so make sure to always look after yourself, do what makes you happy and take time to do what you can to ensure your cup is full, that way everyone gets the best version of yourself.
who’s your Business Icon?
I would say my business icon would be my relative who moved to France to study and after working in some terrible working environments, she decided to set up on her own business. She now has two incredibly successful businesses under her belt and helps people understand the value of themselves in their workplace and supports them in landing the job of their dreams.
Who do You Most Admire?
Really soppy but I genuinely admire all my family and friends, so many different backgrounds, upbringings, and lifestyles but are all incredible and play a huge part in my life, I’m very lucky to have a great family by my side.

What are your hobbies outside of work?
I love reformer Pilates and the odd hike here and there, but I’m 100% a fair-weather walker.
What are your future aspirations?
Right now, my future aspirations at Headway Wealth are to keep learning and I’m excited to see the business grow and to be a part of that.
Best Financial Tips or advice you have received?
I don’t think I’ve ever received many financial tips but I do believe this should be taught from a young age. Having a solid understanding of saving, money management and making sure you plan for the future is something I want to make sure I pass onto my children.
What you are most excited about this year?
Personally, I’m just excited for more new adventures with family and friends and pure positive energy for 2024.
